Feetball

So on Monday night we were at the house and I was about turn on the game to see who was playing on Monday Night Football. I told Jess I was going to put on the football game then I got distracted and was doing something else. Alessandra then starts pointing to the TV and saying: "Daddy... Feetball!" so she goes and gets her football and we played catch as we watched "Feetball". I tried to get her to say feetball on the video but she wouldn't... she does say "Ready, go!" really well though.... enjoy the video:

Go bulldogs!

I was invited to judge the hall displays for homecoming at my alma mater high school today and we got a cool souvenir! Alessandra was my assistant and we saw some good displays. This is Alessandra with her biggest smile and the souvenir she got.

Matteo's Ristorante - Noblesville, IN

Since I have been in Indiana for the summer I have been secretly trying to find a great Italian restaurant that would be up to my "high standards" as my wife or my family would joke. Anyways after asking around and doing some searching on my own I found a true gem in downtown Noblesville, IN just outside of Indianapolis.
I was in Noblesville and stopped by towards the end of an evening and found the owner/chef Matteo Di Rosa personally visiting with some of his customers outside. It was late but I wanted to take a look at the menu and decide whether I was going to come back. Once I found out he was from near Napoli I started to converse in Italian with him for 30+ minutes about food, family, etc... He then gave me a menu to take home and I noticed almost immediately the Olive all'Ascolana. That is an appetizer native of the region where my family comes from and rare to find on Italian Restaurants in America for that matter.
I took Jessica, my brother-in-law John and Alessandra last week and had an excellent experience. Matteo's is by far the best Italian restaurant that I have found in Indiana. Great setting, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere.
Great prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, fresh everything... Matteo even came to the table and visited with us. He created a special appetizer for us and it wasn't even charged on our bill! The dish that I got was the Veal cooked in a nice white wine/lemon sauce cooked to perfection. The second time that I went I had the Tortellini Matteo's for lunch. His cheese stuffed tortellini in a cream sauce with ham, mushrooms, onion and parmesan cheese were so addicting that I made sure to clean my plate with the bread (ho fatto la scarpetta).
If you are in Indianapolis and looking for a genuine Italian restaurant with a true Italian chef go to Matteo's Ristorante in Noblesville, you will not be disappointed.
Until the next good restaurant that I find...

My all time favorite song (this version too)
