Lunch and Raging Waters

So I think most of you know I am in Utah visiting until the 18th. It is good to see my family and friends, and Gio is the bestest husband EVER for being so patient with me and letting me come out here for almost two weeks. It is hard being away from him and Lui because I miss them so much, so I am going to blog and keep him updated on what's going on out here so we don't feel so far apart.
The girls (Kristan, Me, Heather, and Megan) at Zupas for Kristan's birthday, Friday, June 8th.

Here we are at Raging Waters up in Salt Lake. Saturday, June 9th. There is kind of a funny story that goes along with this so I'm going to share. A bunch of us got together to head up to Raging Waters, we found tickets for half off from one of our friends and we were all ready to go! We pulled up into the parking lot and a girl stopped us and asked us if we were with Jet Blue. We said "no" and asked why. She continued to tell us that Jet Blue had rented out the whole park and it was closed to the public and you had to have a special card to get in. We said ok, and pulled away going up to people asking if they had extra "Jet Blue" tickets and nobody did. We were getting a little angry because we drove all the way up to Salt Lake, got cheap tickets, people came in from out of town, and we looked online and it only said it would be closed the 28th of July. We parked and said we were going to go in find a manager to see if we could work something out. We walked up and noticed everyone had bright red tickets and ours were yellow. Besides that there were only two young kids taking tickets, no adults or managers in sight. The ticket and customer service booths were closed too. We didn't really know what to do at this point and we just watched people walk up with their red tickets, and get into the park. So I did the only thing that could have been done. I walked up to the girl that was taking tickets and slowly handed her mine thinking that she would tell me I wasn't with Jet Blue and had to go. However, she just took my ticket, ripped it and let me and all my friends in. I think she might have been color blind, but we couldn't be sure. Right after we walked in there was an announcement over the intercom saying that there was free food, chips, and unlimited drinks, as well as raffles and live entertainment. We didn't even have to pay to rent tubes, they were all free. It was a beautiful day with good weather, food and entertainment, all for only 10 dollars.
