On our way up to Myrtle Beach a little over a month ago I lined up a visit with my cousin Tony Fazzini. I have been wanting to reconnect with cousins that live in the United States for a while now ever since I got the genealogy bug during my many stays with family in Ascoli Piceno, Italy. My dad mentioned to me that his first cousin, Tony and his wife Becky lived in South Carolina so I looked them up and thought that we could stop by and say hello. Well, we did, and it was one of the highlights of the trip. I got to visit with three cousins and most of their families... Roseann, Tony, and Regina. My dad always talked highly of their late father, Alex (my grandfather's brother) so it was neat to catch up and hear all the family stories that they shared.

On the way back to Florida, they invited us to stay the night and eat at his restaurant there on Hilton Head Island. I was so happy that my cheeks were hurting from smiling so much. The name of the restaurant is
Michael Anthony's and it was absolutely amazing.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am picky when it comes to authentic Italian food... I must say that of all the places that I have been to in the US, his restaurant is hands down the best I have been to. So if you are in that area I highly recommend making reservations and eating there... you will not be disappointed.
This past weekend Uncle T and Aunt B stopped by and we hung out, ate, and went for a boat ride. It was good to see them again.

Gio that is so neat that they came to see you guys. They look like great people. I don't think there is anything like family. We miss out when we don't keep the connections going. However I know the real highlight of your trip was listening to all the kids cry and washing Jessie's phone in the washer.
Nice work G.
How fun! That's great!
